I am SO stoked — college football season is here, and I can’t tell you how excited I am to gather around with family and friends for some good old fashioned grill-gating. Nothing makes game day better than delicious food with the ones you love while enjoying cheering for your favorite team (I know I’ll be donning crimson and pioneer blue for my alma mater this fall!) But the REAL star of game day isn’t on the field, it’s on the grill, and I’ve got a great recipe for Dr Pepper marinated beef that works perfectly for tacos, tapas, and even sandwiches!
You’re going to want to sit down for this one.
Melted cheese. Bacon. Beef. It’s got all of the main food groups. And because you can make these Bacon Wrapped Cheeseburger Dogs ahead of time, they’re kind of a must for the 4th of July.
I love salad. It’s seriously one of the best foods in the world. My mom and I always bug the living daylights out of my dad because on a nice summer day, we’re content to just eat salad. No meat, no grilled whatever, just a nice salad. But when the grill is already heated and prepped, why not grill some delicious fruit for a salad? This easy summer salad is a sure-fire stunner with it’s grilled peaches, candied walnuts, and delicious greens and feta.
Summer… it’s the perfect time for campfires, grilling, and all things… well, summery. Growing up, we had these great summer dinners that were easy, no-mess, and delicious. The best part, of course, being that they were no-mess. Who really likes cleaning up after dinner when they could be enjoying an evening swim or lounging outside by a fire pit? I love foil dinners. They’re so versatile, whether you’re making them in the oven or on the grill, or even on that campfire. But I needed a new foil packet dinner to add into my repertoire, particularly one that had a few of my favorite things… like chicken, bacon, and mushrooms.
